A Pivotal Play
Skope Cell Streamlines Intelligence Data Gathering and Analysis
Why is this a Pivotal Play?
Developed as a new approach for analyzing intelligence data at the Special Operations Command, Skope Cell effectively streamlines data gathering and analysis and relays trusted information to users who need it most.
Federal Computer Week named Lt. Col. Al Di Leonardo, director of Skope Cell, a winner of the 2011 Federal 100 Awards, which recognize government and industry leaders who have played pivotal roles in the federal government IT community. His team built the cell's technologies and processes, which have grown to support users throughout the Department of Defense (DoD) and intelligence community.
Formed essentially as a startup company in the special operations community, Skope Cell quickly gained traction with intelligence groups through a series of success stories—not just technology innovations. Collaboration was the key to innovation as Lt. Col. Di Leonardo transitioned Skope Cell's capabilities to other organizations. Today the high-quality analytics behind the cell are earning even more accolades through product, process, and software application sharing across the DoD and intelligence community.
